FOR THE 2017 CONFERENCE

 

+ What does registration include?

  • Food - Friday: drink & hors d’oeuvres. Saturday: Breakfast, Lunch, & evening 21+ drinks. Sunday: Brunch
  • Presentations - Saturday: Opening Keynote by Tim Tassopoulos, and four breakout sessions. Sunday: Closing Keynote by Bishop Gregory Tatsis
  • Mixers - Friday: Orientation and "Meet and Greet" with drinks and hors d’oeuvres; followed by "Flashback Friday Mixer” - come dressed in the style of your favorite decade...or not (current decade totally counts)! Saturday: Mixer at the “Battery” with live band, complimentary drinks, and super rad games like table tennis, fooseball, ski ball & more. (21+, see Q3)
  • Extras - T-Shirt & Logo Bag

+ Check-in: when and how?

  • Hotel check-in: begins at 12 noon Friday
  • Conference check-in: 4pm - 8pm on the second floor. Late check-in will also be available on Saturday morning.

+ What if I'm not 21 yet?

Happily, the Saturday evening venue will allow in those who are under 21. While you won't be treated as outcasts and made to stand in the corner alone, you will -alas- be given a different color ticket.

+ What About Transportation from the Airport?

-- Unfortunately we cannot provide shuttle service from the airport for cost and liability reasons, but we've tried to pull together the best resources we can to get you to the hotel!

  1. Uber/Lyft/Taxi - Cost: approx. $30, Time: approx 45 min
  2. Connect with other conference attendees on the Slack chat room and see if you can share a ride.
  3. Public Transportation:

Option 1:

Step 1: Take MARTA train from the airport to the MARTA Midtown station,

Step 2: Catch the MARTA Bus Route 12 bound for to Cumberland Mall.

Step 3: At the Cumberland Transfer Center, exit the bus and catch the BLUE LINE on the Cumberland District Circulator to Cobb Galleria.

Note: MARTA bus Route 12 operates seven days a week. | Schedule: Download the free MARTA On-The-Go app for schedules and real-time bus information. | Cumberland District Circulator run every 30 minutes Monday - Saturday.

Option 2:

Step 1: Take MARTA train from the airport to the MARTA Arts Center station,

Step 2: Catch the CobbLinc Bus Route 10 bound for Marietta.

Step 3: At the Cumberland Transfer Center, exit the bus and catch the BLUE LINE on the Cumberland District Circulator to Cobb Galleria.

Note: Bus Route 10 operates Mon. - Sat. and does not operate on Sundays.

Option 3:

Step 1: Use either of the above options to arrive at the Cumberland Transfer Center and exit the bus.

Step2: Walk through Cumberland Mall across the street from the transfer center. The Sheraton will be on the other side of the mall and to the left.

Note: It is approximately a 9 min walk (0.4miles).

Bonus Option:

  • Use any of the above steps in combination with Uber/Lyft/Taxi to maximize efficiency and money.

+ What if I'm Driving to the Conference?

+ I need a roommate to split costs with! How can I find one?

+ What amenities can I expect?

  • There's free wifi in the hotel conference rooms and lobby. There's a charge for wifi in the hotel rooms :( .
  • There is a 6 person hotel shuttle that will pick-up & drop off guest anywhere within a 3 mile radius of the hotel. Ask the front desk for the number to call.

+ Before or after the conference, what else is there to do?

Within walking distance of the hotel:

  • The Battery (if you can't get enough on our Saturday night group outing)
